Kathy Griffin, also known as Kathleen Mary Griffin, is an American actress and comedian. She is often associated with her successful show ‘Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.’ Kathy studied drama and theatre and started her career as a stand-up comedian. She made her debut in the industry with several minor, guest roles in moderately successful films such as ‘Shakes the Clown’, ‘Streets of Fire’, and ‘Pulp Fiction’. She was also seen in the TV series ‘Seinfeld’ and ‘The X Files’. Her most successful role that brought her recognition was through the series ‘Suddenly Susan’. Her comedic stance in several talk shows became popular and she focused on comedy career. Her worst movies were her early choices such as ‘The Unborn’ and ‘Medusa: Dare to Be Truthful’.
Kathy’s most successful work are her comedy albums, all of which have been Grammy-nominated. Her first album ‘For Your Consideration’ was highly popular and touched the Billboards chart. Her second album ‘Suckin' It for the Holidays’ was equally popular. She also guest starred in the top-grossing TV series ‘Glee’. Her success ensured that she had several shows of her own, including ‘Kathy’ and ‘Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List’. Both shows are Kathy’s most successful accomplishments. She recently hosted the 41st Daytime Emmy Awards and was praised highly for it.
