Patrick Warburton first appeared in the "Honor" episode of the American drama television series ‘The Paper Chase’ in 1986. The following year, he made his big-screen debut in the drama film, ‘Dragonard’ directed by Gérard Kikoïne. He was next seen in television series and shows like ‘Quantum Leap’ (1990), ‘Northern Exposure’ (1992), ‘Mad About You’ (1993), and ‘Grace Under Fire’ (1995).
In 1995, he joined the cast of the American sitcom television series ‘Dave's World’ as ‘Eric.’ That same year, he also appeared in another sitcom television series ‘Seinfeld’ where he played the role of ‘David Puddy.’ He starred in 10 episodes and remained a part of the show till 1998.
In the 2000 American meta slasher film ‘Scream 3,’ Warburton played the role of ‘Steven Stone.’ The film opened to mixed reviews from critics but was a decent financial success, grossing over $161.8 million against a budget of $40 million. The following year, he starred as ‘The Tick’ in the American sitcom ‘The Tick.’ The series aired for only 9 episodes, before it was canceled by FOX. According to Warburton, FOX did not pay much attention to the series and hardly made any efforts to promote it. After appearing in shows like ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ (2002), ‘8 Simple Rules’ (2002-2003), and ‘Happy Family’ (2003), he grabbed the role of ‘Jeb Denton’ in the sitcom series ‘Less than Perfect’ in 2003. The show aired its final episode in June 2006.
In 2007, Warburton joined the lead cast of the sitcom television series ‘Rules of Engagement’ as ‘Jeff Bingham.’ Despite being panned by critics, the show amassed good ratings and ran for 100 episodes, from February 5, 2007, to May 20, 2013. After ‘Rules of Engagement,’ Warburton next appeared in shows like ‘The Soup’ (2014), ‘Crowded’ (2016), ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ (2017-2019), ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ (2018-2020), and ‘The Orville’ (2019). In 2020, he joined the voice cast of the animated preschool series ‘Baby Shark's Big Show!’ He is still a part of the show and voices the character ‘Grandpa Shark’ (in English).
