Milton Berle was an American actor and comedian, who is known as the first ever American TV star. He garnered viewership of more than a million through his portrayals of ‘Uncle Miltie’ and ‘Mr. Television’ on his TV show ‘Texaco Star Theater (1948–55). He made his film debut in ‘The Perils of Pauline’ (1914) as a child actor. He made his stage debut in the revival of musical ‘Florodora’ in 1933. A year later, he had his own radio show called ‘The Rudy Vallee Hour’ that would run for two years. He won the ‘Emmy’ for his performance in ‘Texaco Star Theater’ in 1950. He earned a special ‘Emmy’ titled ‘Mr. Television’ in 1979. He was inducted in ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame’ with two stars, in 1960. His final film role came in the film ‘Two Heads Are Better Than None’ (2000).
