The Italian-Argentine actress, Fabiana Udenio was a teenager when she made her acting debut on stage, playing Miranda in Giorgio Streheler directed play ‘The Tempest’. Her screen acting debut too happened while she was a teenager. In the beginning of her career, after appearing in films like ‘The Warning’ (1978) and ‘Boarding School’ (1980), she acted in comedies ‘Hardbodies 2’ (1986) and ‘Summer School’ (1987). During this time, she also appeared in a couple of television movies in one of which – ‘The Scarlet and the Black’ (1983) – she played the daughter of a World War II Resistance fighter. On television again, she portrayed Giulietta, a recurring character in the ABC soap opera ‘One Life to Live’ (1985-1986); appeared in around 13 episodes of the Italian television series ‘Sapore di gloria’ (1988) and worked in an episode each of television series ‘Full House’ (1987), ‘Designing Women’, ‘Cheers’, ‘Valerie’ and ‘Living Dolls’ (all 1989).
Fabiana Udenio’s films credits during the 1990s include the comedy horror film ‘Bride of Re-Animator’ (1990, as Francesca Danelli), the science fiction action film ‘RoboCop 2’ (1990, as Sunblock Woman), the action thriller film ‘Diplomatic Immunity’ (1991, as Teresa Escobal), the Italian sketch comedy film ‘Anni 90’ (1992, as Daniela), war comedy film ‘In the Army Now’ (1994, as Gabriella), the spy comedy film ‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery’ (1997, as Alotta Fagina) and the comedy film ‘The Godson’ (1998, as Don Na).
The Jay Roach directed ‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery’, the first film in the ‘Austin Powers’ film series, is Fabiana Udenio’s most-known work. The film, a parody of the James Bond film and other popular culture of the 1960s, received positive reviews and has over 74% approval rating on the Rotten Tomatoes and a rating of 7.0/10 on IMDB. Commercially, too, it did well, collecting over $67.7 million worldwide against the budget of $16.5 million.
During the 1990s, Fabiana Udenio’s also appeared in a couple of television movies like the drama ‘The Knife and Gun Club’ (1990) and the sci-fi adventure ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ (1993) playing Teresa Imperato in the former and Sandra Miller in the latter.

In 1999-2000, Fabiana Udenio’s was seen in the role of Pia Claire in 22 episodes of Peter Benchley adventure drama series ‘Amazon’. The series was well received and has a an IMDB rating of 7.4/10. She continued working on television and appeared in an episode each of television series ‘Tequila & Bonetti’ (2000), ‘FreakyLinks’ (2001), ‘Clubhouse’ (2004), ‘Zoey 101’ (2005), ‘CSI: Miami’ (2008) and ‘Mistresses’ (2013). Between 2008 and 2011, she was cast in the recurring role of Atooza Shirazi in the teen drama television series ‘90210’ (spin-off of the iconic drama ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’) and between 2015 and 2016, she was seen in yet another recurring role, that of Elena Di Nola, in the critically acclaimed and award-winning romantic comedy drama television series ‘Jane the Virgin’.
Meanwhile, Fabiana Udenio continued to work in the films and played Anna Bosco in the Adam Shankman directed and Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey starrer romantic comedy film ‘The Wedding Planner’ (2001). She was also seen as Natasha in the Brian Thomas Jones directed action-comedy romance movie ‘Slammed’ (2004).
Her upcoming acting project include Anthony Cally directed film ‘Love and Love Not’; Jake Helgren directed romance television movie ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Christmas’ and a regular role in ‘Utap’, the Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer Netflix spy series.
