The sci-fi film set in the England of Victorian era follows scientist George Wells as he creates a time machine that takes him thousands of years ahead. But what he finds is not the Utopian society that he envisioned; instead, he is shocked to discover a benign, mild race of vegetarian Elois who are preyed upon by cannibalistic, ferocious Morlocks, living underground.
