Majel Barrett was an American actress, best known for playing various roles in the ‘Star Trek’ series. She played ‘Christine Chapel’ in the original ‘Star Trek’ series. She was also seen as ‘Lwaxana Troi’ on ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ and ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.’Â
She is known as the ‘First Lady of Star trek’ series because of her appearances and marriage to the creator of ‘Star Trek,’ Gene Rodenberry.Â
She started her acting journey with stage performances. She toured with an off-Broadway company, and appeared in a few films such as ‘Love in a Goldfish Bowl’ (1961), and ‘Track of Thunder’ (1967), before she started working in the ‘Star Trek’ series.Â
She appeared in many other films, such as ‘Westworld’ (1973), ‘Teresa's Tattoo’ (1994) and ‘Mommy’ (1994). She was also seen in TV shows, such as ‘Bonanza’ (1959-1973), ‘The Lucy Show’ (1962-1968 and ‘Leave it to Beaver.’
