American singer, actor and filmmaker Joseph Gordon Levitt is known for his role as a child artist in the movie ‘A River Runs through It’ (1992), for which he won the Best Young Actor under 10 Award. His early performances include the popular television serial ‘3rd Rock from the Sun’ (1996 – 2001). After taking a break for his studies, he returned to cinema with the hit movies ‘GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra’ (2009), ‘50/50’ (2011) and ‘The Night Before’ (2014). His latest television appearances include ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’ (2015) and ‘Comrade Detective’ (2017). He has a number of singles and three albums to his credit, including the soundtrack of the movie ‘500 Days of Summer’.
His highest box office successes have been ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. Though Levitt’s portrayal of NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowden, in the movie ‘Snowden’ is remarkable, the movie failed to make an impact at the box office.
Gordon founded the production company ‘HitRecord’. He hosts his own variety series under the company. His series ‘Hit Record on TV’ won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media – Social TV Experience. Today he is a celebrity in his own right with fans eagerly awaiting his next release.
