Katey Sagal is an American actress and singer-songwriter who gained popularity for her 'Golden Globe'-nominated role as the lazy, self-indulgent wife and mother Peggy Bundy in Fox's hit comedy 'Married... with Children' (1987-1997). The character of the matriarch Gemma Teller Morrow on the crime-drama series 'Sons of Anarchy' (2008-2014) is considered one of her best roles, and earned her a 'Golden Globe Award' in 2011. She is also noted for voicing Leela on the animated sci-fi series 'Futurama' and for playing Cate Hennessy on the sitcom '8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter' (2002-2005).
Despite her success on television, she debuted on the big screen with commercial failures like 'Maid to Order' (1987) and 'The Good Mother' (1988). However, she showed her mettle in her first starring role in the 1999 Disney telefilm 'Smart House'. The best Katey Sagal films include 'Recess: School's Out', 'Futurama: Bender's Big Score' (both voice roles) and 'Pitch Perfect 2', her top grossing film.
Alongside successful films and TV shows, she has also sustained a striving music career, releasing the albums 'Moon Over Brooklyn' (1976), 'Well...' (1994), 'Room' (2004) and 'Covered' (2013), and working on the soundtrack album for 'Sons of Anarchy'.
The Bellas are enjoying three consecutive ICCA champions win. However, a wardrobe malfunction in front of President Obama leads to a huge scandal and their subsequent suspension from the ICCAs. Their only way to get reinstated is to win the World Championship of Acappella, something no American team has ever achieved and which requires them to beat the super impressive German group.
