Olivia Wilde is an American-Irish actress known for appearing in critically acclaimed roles on both TV and movies. She made her on-screen debut as Jewel Goldman on the TV series ‘Skins’ (2003—2004).
She had recurring roles on ‘The O.C.’ (2004—2005), ‘The Black Donnellys’ (2007), and the Fox smash hit, ‘House’ (2007—2012). In the meantime, Olivia Wilde started focusing on her movie career and landed her first movie role in ‘The Girl Next Door’ (2004). She then starred in movies like ‘Conversations with Other Women’ (2005), ‘Alpha Dog’ (2006), ‘The Death and Life of Bobby Z’ (2007), ‘Fix’ (2008), and ‘Year One’ (2009). None of them enjoyed box office success and are often considered her worst movies.
She turned her career around in 2010 with ‘The Next Three Days’ and ‘Tron: Legacy’. The movies became the highest grossing movies of her career, but she would have a box office disaster following them, with ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ (2010). Some of her best movies are, ‘Rush’ (2013), ‘Her’ (2013), ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’ (2014), ‘Meadowland’ (2015), and ‘Love the Coopers’ (2015). ‘A Vigilante’ (2018) and ‘Life Itself’ (2018) are her upcoming movies.
