Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress best known for her portrayal of Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe. After becoming Miss Israel (2004), Gal Gadot went on to serve two years in the Israeli army. She then appeared in a small role on the Israeli TV series ‘Bubot’ (2007).
Her first big break in Hollywood came when she was cast as Gisele Yashar in ‘Fast and the Furious’ (2009), a role Gal Gadot reprised in ‘Fast Five’ (2011), and ‘Fast & Furious 6’ (2013). The movies were all box office blockbusters and established her as a bona fide action star. She was also seen in movies like ‘Knight and Day’ (2010), ‘Kicking Out Shoshana’ (2014), and ‘Triple 9’ (2015).
Gal Gadot received widespread criticism for being cast as DC’s Wonder Woman but once ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (2016) premiered, her performance was hailed by audiences and critics alike. ‘Wonder Woman’ (2017), which became one of the highest grossing movies of the year is considered to be her best role.
