

Ellen DeGeneres is a celebrated American talk-show host, actress, LGBTQ rights activist and philanthropist. She is universally popular as the host of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ (2003—2017) and the voice of Dory in ‘Finding Nemo’.Â
She started her career as a stand-up comedian and later appeared as a series regular on the TV show ‘Open House’ (1989—1990). Some of her major TV shows at the beginning of her career are ‘One Night Stand’ (1990—1992), and ‘Laurie Hill’ (1992). Her hit sitcom ‘Ellen’ (1994-1998) served as a turning point in her personal and professional career as she openly came out as a gay on the ‘The Puppy Episode’ (1997). She became TV royalty with her talk show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ (2003—present). The show has won 59 ‘Daytime Emmy Awards’.Â
Ellen DeGeneres has had a less glittering career in movies. She was seen in some unsuccessful movies like ‘Arduous Moon’ (1990), ‘Coneheads’ (1993), ‘Trevor’ (1994), Mr. Wrong (1996), and Goodbye Lover’ (1998). Her best and highest grossing movies are where she has voice-acted, namely, ‘Dr. Dolittle’ (1998),‘Finding Nemo’ (1999), and ‘Finding Dory’ (2016).
When a television channel decides to telecast the daily life of an ordinary person they choose a video store clerk and begin filming his life 24X7. Very soon, the show becomes very popular and he becomes a celebrity. But it also invites complications in his life and he starts looking for ways to quit the show without breaching his contract.
Dr. Doolittle, a noted surgeon, hits his head on the windshield while swerving his car to avoid running over a dog. It triggers in him a long dormant gift, enabling him to understand what animals and birds are saying and communicate with them. Although initially skeptical, he finally learns to appreciate his gifts and starts treating both animals and humans.
Coneheads is a sci-fi comedy film, which revolves around an alien couple with cone-shaped heads who are ditched on earth mistakenly, after which they try to adjust living among human beings.
Marlin, a clown fish, is horrified after his son, Nemo, who has a lame right fin, is captured by underwater sea divers. He sets out on a perilous journey to rescue Nemo, accompanied by Dory, a blue tang suffering from short-term memory loss. Meanwhile, Nemo hatches an escape plan with the other fishes in a dentist's aquarium.
Dory, a regal blue tang suffering from short-term memory loss, regains some memory of her parents during a field trip and embarks on a journey to reach Jewel of Morro Bay, California, across the ocean. She is accompanied by her new family, clownfish Marlin and his son Nemo, and makes more friends along the way.
