Matthew Perry is a Canadian-American actor well-known for one of his best roles as Chandler Bing on the long-running NBC television sitcom 'Friends' (1994-2004). He is also recognized for portraying the eponymous character on the telefilm 'The Ron Clark Story' (2006).
His first television appearance was in an episode of the ABC drama '240-Robert' (1979). Following a few guest appearances, he bagged a main role on the Fox sitcom 'Second Chance' (1987-88) and made his film debut in the coming-of-age drama 'A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon' (1988). His early filmography contained mostly box-office failures like 'She's Out of Control' (1989), 'Getting In' (1994), 'Almost Heroes' (1998), and 'Three to Tango' (1999); but his first starring role in 'Fools Rush In' (1997) was a moderate success, followed by a supporting role in 'The Whole Nine Yards' (2000). He had a lead role in the romantic comedy 'Serving Sara' (2002), but it is considered one of the worst movies of the decade.
On television, he was a main cast on 'Sydney' (1990) and played lead roles on 'Home Free' (1993), 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' (2006-07), 'Mr. Sunshine' (2011), 'Go On' (2012-13) and 'The Odd Couple' (2015-17).
