Carrie Fisher was an American actress and author, who holds a legendary status in Hollywood for her role as Princess Leia, in the ‘Star Wars’ movie franchise. The actress made her movie debut in ‘Shampoo’ (1975) and then would be cast in the lead role of Princess Leia in George Lucas’, ‘Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope’ (1977). Widely considered to be her best role, Carrie Fisher would reprise the character in ‘Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back’ (1980), ‘Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi’ (1983), ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ (2015) and the upcoming ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ (2017). The movies remain among some of the top grossing movies of all time.Â
Some of Fisher’s best movies were ‘The Blue Brothers’ (1980), ‘Hannah and Her Sisters’ (1986), ‘Postcards from the Edge’ (1990), and ‘Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle’ (2003). ‘Lisa Picard is Famous’ (2000), and ‘Undiscovered’ (2005), are often considered two of her worst movies. Carrie Fisher was also nominated three times at the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2008, 2011 and 2017, for her roles on the TV shows ‘30 Rock’, ‘Wishful Thinking’, and ‘Catastrophe’, respectively. Â
