Michael Fassbender was first seen on-screen in ‘Band of Brothers,’ an award-winning television series, in 2001. He was next seen in both the series of ‘Hex’ on Sky One where he played the role of Azazeal. He made his feature film debut with ‘300’ where he played the role of a young Spartan warrior.
He followed this success with ‘Hunger’ where he was seen as Bobby Sands, an IRA activist. For this role he bagged in a ‘British Independent Film Award.’ He was nominated for BAFTA and Golden Globe Awards for ‘Shame’ where he was seen in the role of a sex addict.
His first Oscar nomination came for his Supporting Role in ’12 Years a Slave.’ He earned an Academy Award, SAG, Golden Globe and BAFTA nomination for his title role in ‘Steve Jobs.’ Some of his other notable performances include, ‘Frank,’ ‘Fish Tank,’ ‘Prometheus,’ ‘Macbeth,’ ‘Slow West,’ ‘A Dangerous Method,’ and ‘Inglourious Basterds.’
