Terrence Malick is an American screenwriter, film director, and producer. In a career, which has spanned over four decades, Terrence has directed 9 films. He made his directorial debut in 1973, in the film ‘Badlands,’ which was a period crime drama. His other directorial ventures include ‘Days of Heaven’ (1978), ‘The Thin Red Line’ (1998), ‘The New World’ (2005), ‘The Tree of Life’ (2011), ‘To the Wonder’ (2012), ‘Knight of Cups’ (2015), ‘Song to Song’ (2017), and ‘A Hidden Life’ (2019). For ‘The Tree of Life,’ he was awarded the prestigious ‘Palme d'Or’ at the 2011 ‘Cannes Film Festival.’ He was also honored with the ‘Golden Bear’ at the ‘49th Berlin International Film Festival,’ for the film. His film ‘To the Wonder’ was also conferred with the ‘SIGNIS Award’ at the 2012 ‘Venice Film Festival.’ He had a brief role in the film ‘Lanton Mills’ (1969).
