Rohit Shetty is an Indian film director and producer, best known for making films in ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Singham’ series. Rohit started his career at 17 years of age, as an assistant director in the 1991 Hindi film ‘Phool aur Kaante.’ He worked as an assistant director in several films, such as ‘Suhaag’ (1994) and ‘Zulmi’ (1999). He made his directorial debut in the 2003 film ‘Zameen.’ His first successful venture was ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’ (2006). His other popular films include ‘ Golmaal Returns’ (2008)), ‘Singham ‘ (2011), ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012), ‘ Chennai Express’ (2013), ‘Singham Returns ‘ (2014), ‘ Dilwale’ (2015), and ‘Simmba’ (2018). He was nominated for ‘Filmfare Award for Best Director’’ for ‘Chennai Express.’ He has hosted four seasons of ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ (2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019). He has also judged shows such as ‘Comedy Circus’ (2009-2011) and ‘India’s Next Superstar’ (2018).
