Ricki Lake is an American actress, TV host, and producer, best known for her role as ‘Tracy Turnblad’ in the 1988 film ‘Hairspray.’ She also hosted her own talk show ‘Ricki Lake,’ which ran from 1993 to 2004. She came back with ‘The Ricki Lake Show’ in 2012 for another season. She was nominated for ‘Emmy Award’ for ‘Ricki Lake’ in 1994. She won an ‘Emmy’ for ‘Outstanding Talk Show’ for ‘The Ricki Lake Show’ in 2013. She made her film debut in ‘Hairspray.’ With time, she starred in films such as ‘ Cry-Baby’ (1990), ‘Serial Mom’ (1994), ‘Mrs. Winterbourne’ (1996), Cecil B. Demented’ (2000), and ‘Hairspray’ (2007). She made her TV debut as ‘Teri’ in an episode of ‘Kate & Allie’ (1987). She was then seen in shows such as ‘China Beach’ (1989-1990), ‘Gravedale High’ (1990), ‘The King of Queens’ (2000-2001), ‘Celebrity Juice’ (2017) and ‘The Masked Singer’ (2019).
