A wealthy man sees a feisty peasant girl, and infatuated with her, he proposes marriage. However, she refuses to get married. Despite this, her mother pushes her into the marriage against her will. She is unable to adjust to her new life, and becomes embarrassed. However, her husband’s nephew convinces her to run away with him.
