Stand-up comedian and actor-producer Kevin Hart made his first on-screen appearance in ‘Undeclared’ (2001-2002), while his debut film was ‘Paper Soldiers’ (2002).
After a not so good start in comedy, Hart succeeded with comedy tours, including ‘Laugh at My Pain’ (2011), and ‘Let Me Explain’ (2013), which were turned into feature films, and proved helpful for his film-career.
Initially appearing in minor parts in films like ‘Scary Movie-3’ (2003), he graduated to bigger roles in ‘Soul Plane’ (2004), ‘In the Mix’ (2005). Hart was part of ‘Little Fockers’ (2010), ‘The Five-Year Engagement’ (2012), and got recognition with the hit comedy ‘Think Like a Man’ (2012).
In his reality TV parody ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ (2013), Hart and others essayed fictionalized versions of themselves. His performance in comedies ‘This is the End’ (2013), and ‘Ride Along’ and its sequels established him as comedy star. He earned appreciation in ‘Top Five’ (2014) and ‘Get Hard’ (2015). Hart worked with Dwayne Johnson in ‘Central Intelligence’ (2016), ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ (2017), and ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ (2019).
Hart played a prominent role in the drama-film ‘The Upside’ (2019). He was producer-writer-actor for ‘Night School’ (2018), and doubled up as producer-actor for ‘Fatherhood’ (2021).
