While spending a summer in a resort in the Catskill Mountains with her family, Frances "Baby" Houseman, who is from a privileged background, falls in love with the working class dance instructor Johnny Castle. She goes against her father's wishes to continue her relationship with Johnny and gives a climactic performance with him at the end-of-season talent show.

Strong-willed teenager Alex Owens works as steel-mill welder during day and at night, performs as a dancer at a nightclub. The self-taught dancer aspires to become a professional ballerina and saves to join formal dance training. She has apprehensions about being accepted into the elite ‘Pittsburgh Conservatory of Dance and Repertory,’ but her boyfriend, steel-mill owner Nick Hurley, supports and encourages her.  

Runaway is a science fiction film which takes us to a future where robots have become a part of everyday life like any other electrical appliance. However, when robots malfunction, they pose a serious threat to human beings or their property, and such robots are called ‘runaways’. They are handled by a team of police officers called the ‘Runaway squad’. The film revolves around Sergeant Jack Ramsay, who joins the ‘Runaway squad’, after his fear of heights allows a criminal to escape.

Anthony works as a dance instructor and waiter at a club, and he aspires for a career in Broadway. However, in pursuit of his dreams, he ends up hurting his friends and his family.
