Broderick Stephen Harvey started his onscreen career as a host of the variety show ‘The Showtime at the Apollo’ (1993-2000) and it’s revival in 2016-2018.
After first starring role in the sitcom ‘Me and the Boys’ (1994), Harvey was a producer-actor on the sitcom ‘The Steve Harvey Show’ (1996-2002). His ‘The Kings of Comedy’ tour performances with other comedians were compiled in film ‘The Original Kings of Comedy’ (2000). His variety show of the same title ran from 2003 to 2005.
In 2003, Harvey appeared in comedies ‘The Fighting Temptations,’ and ‘Love Don’t cost a thing.’ He featured in road-comedy ‘Johnson Family Vacation’ and dance-drama ‘You Got Served’ (2004). He lent his voice to ‘Buzz’ in ‘Racing Stripes’ (2005).
Harvey’s comedy specials, ‘Steve Harvey: Don’t Trip….He Ain’t Through with Me Yet’ and ‘Still Singing,’ were released in 2006 and 2008 respectively. He made cameo appearances in ‘Madea Goes to Jail’ (2009) and ‘Think Like a Man’ (2012).
Since 2010, Harvey is the host of the game-show ‘Family Feud’ and executive-producer/host of ‘Celebrity Family Feud’ since 2015. He co-created and hosted ‘Little Big Shots’ (2015-2019). In 2017, he hosted the reality show ‘Steve Harvey’s Funderdome’ and the talk-show ‘Steve.’
