Gillian Jacobs was first seen on screen in the 2005 comedy film ‘Building Girl’ directed by Shari L. Carpenter. The following year, she was seen playing the role of ‘Adele Congreve’ in the American drama television series ‘The Book of Daniel.’ In 2007, she portrayed ‘Froggy’ in the American drama film ‘Blackbird’ directed by Adam Rapp. The film was inspired by a play which was also written by Adam Rapp. In 2009, she joined the main cast of the American television sitcom ‘Community’ created by Dan Harmon. She played the role of ‘Britta Perry’ and remained a part of the series until it went off-air in 2015. In 2016, she starred as ‘Mickey Dobbs’ in the American romantic comedy streaming television series ‘Love’ created by Judd Apatow, Lesley Arfin, and Paul Rust. The series ran for 3 seasons and went off-air in 2018. In 2017, she was seen playing the role of ‘Tracy’ in the American comedy-drama film ‘Lemon’ directed by Janicza Bravo. The film received a mixed response from critics and was given an approval rating of 55% on Rotten Tomatoes. The following year, she appeared in the American comedy film ‘Life of the Party’ directed by Ben Falcone, The film opened to a mixed reception and grossed over $65.9 million on a budget of $30 million. She went on to appear in films like ‘I Used to Go Here’ (2020), ‘Magic Camp’ (2020), ‘Come Play’ (2020), ‘Fear Street Part One: 1994’ (2021), ‘Fear Street Part Two: 1978’ (2021), and ‘Fear Street Part Three: 1666’ (2021).
