Mexican – American comedian and actor George Lopez is best known for his stand-up acts on Mexican – American culture. His self produced show, ‘George Lopez,’ was aired on ABC network from 2002 to 2007, but got canceled due to what Lopez claimed to be racially motivated. He appeared as Henry Ramiro in the television film ‘Naughty or Nice’ (2004) and Eddie Serrano in ‘Mr. Troop Mom’ (2009). He has appeared as himself in most of his other television appearances that include ‘America’s Mexican’ (2007), ‘The Naked Brothers Band’ (2007 – 2008), and ‘America’s Got Talent’ (2016).
Lopez made his debut on the big screen with his role as Eddie Martinez in the comedy film ‘Sky Patrol’ (1990). He appeared in the movie ‘Real Women Have Curves’ which received the 2002 Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. His other movies include ‘Bread and Roses’ (2001) and ‘Meet the Blacks’ (2016). He has done a number of voice roles in movies like ‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’ (2008), ‘The Smurfs’ (2011), and ‘Gnome Alone’ (2017).
