

Victor Mature was an American actor, best known for playing ‘Tumak’ in the American fantasy film ‘One Million B.C.’ (1940). He made his screen debut in the comedy film ‘The Housekeeper’s Daughter’ in 1939. ‘No, No, Nanette’ (1940) was his first musical. Some of his popular films were ‘Footlight Serenade’ (1942), ‘My Darling Clementine’ (1946), which was his first Western film; ‘Kiss of Death’ (1947), ‘The Robe’ (1953), ‘Violent Saturday’ (1955), ‘The Big Circus’ (1959), ‘After the Fox’ (1966), and ‘Firepower’ (1979). He played ‘Dr. John "Doc" Holliday’ in the TV show ‘M*A*S*H’ in 1977. His final film role came in the TV film ‘Samson and Delilah’ (1984), as ‘Manoa.’ He also made radio appearances in shows such as ‘Lux Radio Theatre’ (1946) and ‘Suspense’ (1953). Victor has a star on the ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame.’
