Angela Lansbury first appeared in ‘Gaslight’ followed by ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray,’ for which she won her first ‘Golden Globe Award’ and also bagged in two ‘Academy Award’ nominations. She gained widespread acclaim for her performance in ‘The Manchurian Candidate.’ She bagged in a range of awards for her performance in ‘Mame,’ a Broadway musical where she played the lead. She was seen playing the lead in various stage musicals, including ‘The King and I,’ ‘Gypsy,’ and ‘Sweeney Todd.’ She also starred in the hit film ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks,’ produced by Disney.
