Vanessa Paradis is one of the most prominent and established actors of the French film industry. A multi-talented personality, Paradis has worn various hats – she is a singer, songwriter, musician, actor and model.
Paradis first started out as a singer, appearing on the program ‘L'École des fans’. At the age of 11, she recorded her first single and by the age of 14, she was basking under the glory of her internationally successful single, ‘Joe le taxi’. The song made her a teen sensation in France. Just when her singing career was soaring high, Paradis added a feather to her illustrious hat – she debuted in front of camera for the 1990 film ‘Noce Blanche’. The film earned her France’s Oscar equivalent, Cesar Award, for Most Promising Actress. Despite the phenomenal success of her debut film, Paradis did not take up another acting project for five years. Her second film, Elisa, also a box office blockbuster, released in 1995 and reaffirmed her status as a successful French actress.
Paradis’ filmography has had a fair amount of international hit such as ‘Un amour de sorcière’, ‘Une chance sur deux’, ‘La fille sur le Pont’, ‘Un monstre à Paris’, ‘Café de Flore’, ‘Yoga Hosers’ and so on.
