James Corden is an English actor, TV host, writer, singer, comedian, and producer. He commenced his professional career by appearing in ‘Out of Tune’ (1996-1998), a British TV series for children, followed by a guest role in the TV series, ‘Renford Rejects’. His career received a shot in the arm when he bagged prized parts in TV series, ‘Boyz Unlimited (1999), and ‘Teachers’ (2001-2003) and movies, ‘Twenty Four Seven’ (1997), ‘All or Nothing’ (2002).
One of his best roles is that of Jamie Rymer in the TV series ‘Fat Friends’, for which he was nominated for the Royal Television Society’s ‘New Comer On Screen’ award. Soon after, he performing onstage in the play ‘The History Boys’ in London, Broadway, Wellington, Hong Kong, and Sydney and also starred in the drama’s cinematic adaptation.
He earned universal acclaim for starring as Smithy in ‘Gavin & Stacey’—a BBC Three sitcom—which he co-scripted with his ‘Fat Friends’ co-actor Ruth Jones. The TV series won several awards.
