

Distinguished for his work on the BBC sketch comedy series ‘Rock Profile,’ Matt Lucas was first seen on-screen in 1995 in ‘The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer.’ He played George Dawes in ‘Shooting Stars’ and became earned a lot of fame.
He next played a variety of roles in the BBC situation comedy ‘Catterick’ and ‘Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased).’ The sketch comedy ‘Little Britain’ was his most commercially successful work. In 2005, he appeared in ‘Casanova’ which was his first role in a television drama. He also starred in the British mockumentary television comedy series ‘Come Fly With Me,’ that earned him mixed reviews. In 2004, he appeared in the zombie comedy film ‘Shaun of the Dead’ that met with commercial success and universal acclaim. He was seen in the 2010 dark fantasy film ‘Alice in Wonderland’ that earned mixed reviews.
Some of his other noteworthy film credits also include the 2014 live-action animation comedy ‘Paddington,’ the 2019 neo-noir action thriller ‘Polar,’ the 2012 American independent comedy ‘Small Apartments,’ and the 2018 American biographical comedy-drama ‘A Futile and Stupid Gesture.’
From 2015 to 2017, he was a part of the BBC series ‘Doctor Who.’ The show has gained a cult following and is an important part of British popular culture.
