Before moving into acting, Bob Crane worked as a radio host and disc jockey.
In the early 1960s, he embarked upon his acting career with ‘Hogan’s Heroes’ where he played the lead. He won two ‘Primetime Emmy Award’ nominations for his performance in the series. Crane’s career graph witnessed a drop after the series ended.
He started performing in dinner theatre and made a comeback in 1975, when he starred in the NBC television series, ‘The Bob Crane Show.’ The series was not well-received and was taken-off after thirteen weeks.
Some of his other notable films are ‘Man-Trap,’ ‘Superdad,’ ‘The Wicked Dreams of Paula Schultz,’ and ‘Gus.’
He also appeared in several television shows, including ‘The Donna Reed Show,’ ‘Who Do You Trust?,’ ‘The Dick Van Dyne Show,’ ‘The Alfred Hitchcock Hour,’ ‘The Doris Day Show,’ ‘Channing,’ etc.
