

Urmila Mantondkar is an actress, known for her work in Indian cinema. Known for her intense acting skills, she is known for films such as  `Satya` (1998), `Kaun` (1999), `Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (2001), and `Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara` (2005).  Â
She began her career at an early age with films such as `Kalyug`, `Bhavna` and `Bade Ghar ki Beti`. Â She came to prominence after her role in the film `Rangeela` where she appeared alongside Aamir Khan. It can be considered one of her best works. Other critically acclaimed works of her career include `Satya` (1998), `Kaun` (1999) and `Maine Gandhi ko Nahin Mara` (2005).
Her commercially successful films include `Aa Gale Lag Ja`, (1994), `Rangeela` (1995), `Satya` (1998), `Jungle` (2000) and `Bhoot` (2003). The films `Speed` (2007) and `EMI` (2008) can be considered two of the worst movies of her career.Â
Based on the epic Mahabharata, this drama film tells the story of two business families in India, and how their relationships are affected by the fierce competition between them.
Satya is a young man who arrives in Mumbai, hoping to find some work. He is soon able to find a job at a dance bar. However, he soon gets involved in a fight with gangsters, and is falsely accused of a crime and put in jail.
Chandrakant Nagre joins the Mumbai underworld, and soon manages to learn the trade, and helps his gang earn more profits. This leads to his good relationship with Malik, the leader of the gang. However, Malik soon starts going on a bloody rampage, killing all his rivals from another gang. Soon, tensions arise between Chandrakant and Malik.
