Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint made his screen debut at the age of 11 in the first film of the Harry Potter franchise, ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,’ (2001) as Harry’s best friend, ‘Ron Weasley,’ and earned awards. He starred in all eight films of the series.
In 2002, Grint starred in ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ and the comedy-film ‘Thunderpants.’ After ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’ (2004), and ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ (2005), Grint starred in the comedy-drama ‘Driving Lessons’ (2006).
The fifth installment of the Harry Potter franchise, ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ (2007), and the sixth entry, ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ (2009), were big commercial successes, earning praise for Grint. Following the drama-film ‘Cherrybomb’ (2009), Grint reprised ‘Ron’ in the highly successful last two installments ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1’ (2010) and ‘Part-2’ (2011), earning accolades.
Grint starred in the comedy-thriller ‘Wild Target’ (2010), the anti-war film ‘Into the White’ (2012), biopic ‘CBGB’ (2013), and the comedy film ‘Moonwalkers’ (2015). Grint made his theater debut in ‘Mojo’ (2013-2014) and Broadway debut in ‘It’s Only a Play’ (2014).
On TV, Grint appeared in series ‘Snatch’ (2017-2018), and ‘Servant’ (2019--).
