Romain Gary was a renowned French film director, World War II aviator of Jewish origin, diplomat, and novelist. He was a successful writer and the only one who bagged in ‘Prix Goncourt’ two times. He wrote the screenplay of ‘The Longest Day,’ an epic war film.
In 1962, he was the member of the jury at the ‘Cannes Film Festival.’ In 979, he was also the part of the jury at the ‘Berlin International Film Festival.’
