Filipino – American actress Liza Soberano is best known for her role as Maria Agnes Calay in the romantic comedy series ‘Forevermore’ (2014 – 2015), where she starred alongside Enrique Gil. Her other romantic comedy films with Gil include ‘Everyday I Love You’ (2015) and ‘Just The Way You Are’ (2015). She has also appeared in the television series ‘Dolce Amore’ (2016) opposite the same actor.
Everything did not come easy to Soberano. She started modelling for print media at the age of 12 but had a problem because she did not know the Tagalog language. She could only get minor roles and started her career with the defunct afternoon series ‘Kung Ako’y Liwan Mo’ (2012). Her other television appearances include ‘Wansapanataym: Flores De Yayo’ (2013), ‘Got to Believe’ (2013 - 2014), and ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya: Korona’ (2017).
She has won a number of awards for her work in the entertainment industry. The latest being multiple awards for her performance in the series ‘My Ex and Whys’ and ‘Bagani’ in 2018.
