A doctor ends up killing several of his patients, in order to find a replacement heart for his ailing wife. Eventually, his crimes are discovered, and he is lynched. His son Evan is forced to flee, but he eventually ends up in an asylum. However, after several years, he eventually manages to escape. He returns to the town where his father was killed, and begins killings the residents one by one, for revenge. He also gets infatuated with a teenage girl, having a heart condition similar to his mother.
