Franco Nero is an Italian actor, best known for his lead role in the film ‘Django’ (1966). This was also the breakthrough role of his career. He made his film debut in the ‘Pelle viva (1962). ‘Django’ was his first lead role. He made his American film debut in ‘The Bible: In the Beginning...,’ in 1966. In his career, Franco has appeared in more than 100 films. Some of his most popular films include ‘Camelot' (1967), ‘The Day of the Owl ‘ (1968), for which he won ‘David di Donatello Award for Best Actor; ‘Confessions of a Police Captain,’ for which he won ‘Italian Golden Globe Award for Best Actor; ‘Django Strikes Again’ (1987), ‘Letters to Juliet’ (2010), and ‘Django Unchained’ (2012). He also made appearances on many TV shows, such as ‘The Hitchhiker’ (1985), ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ (2011), and ‘Delicious’ (2017-18).
German dentist-turned-bounty-hunter Dr. King Schultz buys African-American slave Django, promising him freedom in exchange for leading Schultz to three outlaw Brittle brothers, overseers at the plantation of Django's former owner.
