David Frost was an English comedian, host, media personality, actor, and writer. He is best known for hosting shows such as ‘That Was the Week That Was’ (1962), ‘Breakfast with Frost’ (1993 – 2005), and ‘Frost Over the World’ (2006 -2012). He started his media career as an assistant producer in the TV series ‘This Week’ in 1956. He worked as a TV presenter in shows such as ‘A Degree of Frost’ (1964), ‘The Frost Programme’ (1966-1967), ‘The David Frost Revue’ (1971-1972), ‘The Frost Programme’ (1970 -1973, 1993-1995), ‘Talking with David Frost’ (1993-1997), ‘Breakfast’ (2007-2011), and ‘The Frost Interview ‘ (2012-2013). As an actor, he has appeared in the 1963 film The V.I.P.s’ as a reporter. He has also worked on TV series’ ‘Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In’ (1970) and ‘Here’s Lucy’ (1971). He was honored with ‘Order of the British Empire’ (OBE) in 1970, and ‘Knight Bachelor’ in 1993.Â
The satirical film follows Michael Rimmer who joins an insignificant British ad agency where he manipulates his way to a place of authority and taking the company to the top position, he becomes a polling specialist. He enters politics to become MP, and acquires wealth and attractive wife. Ruthlessly, he climbs the ladder of success to procure total power of the country.
A group of guests are staying at General Futtock’s country estate for the weekend. However, things soon turn chaotic.
Nick Leeson, an ambitious investment broker decides to take advantage of the thriving Asian market in order to make some risky trades. Eventually, he ends up bankrupting one of the oldest and most important banks in Britain. He is forced to flee the country with his wife, without realizing that he has to eventually face the consequences of his actions.
Kate and Martin are cut off from the outside world while they try to cope with a personal tragedy. They go to an uninhabited island to take a break. However, as fate would have it, a stranger brings the news of an airborne disease rushing through Europe.
